Privacy

Fort Wayne AI is a local community hub built and run by volunteers. This page explains what information we collect, who can see it, and what choices you have.

Last updated September 29, 2026.

What’s public—and what isn’t

Some of your profile can be public and may appear in search-engine results. That is part of how a community directory works, but you should know exactly what will be visible before adding your information.

Anyone on the internet can see: upcoming events and, if you turn on speaking and make your profile public, your name, photo, headline, city, speaking topics, fee range, travel radius, talks, samples, recommendations, and any LinkedIn or website link you add.

Only signed-in members can see: your full member profile, including your bio, other links, whether you are open to work, and any contact email you choose to add. Members can also see job postings, showcase entries, collaboration posts, and the member directory.

Only you and the organizers can see: the email address you use to sign in. It is never displayed on your profile or published.

You may choose to share two other email addresses. These are separate from your sign-in email:

  • A contact email on your member profile, visible only to signed-in members.
  • A booking email on your speaker page, visible to anyone on the internet.

Both fields are optional and blank by default. You add them yourself, and you can remove either address at any time by clearing the field.

You are in control. Set your profile to hidden, and it will be removed from public pages. Turn off speaking, and your public speaker page will be removed too.

What we collect

Your email address

We collect your email address when you sign in. It is the only information required to create an account.

Information you choose to add

This may include your name, photo, headline, bio, city, employer, job title, links, skills, and any speaking or job-seeking details you choose to provide.

Things you post

We store events, job postings, showcase entries, collaboration requests, reactions, and notification preferences.

Contact information from non-members

When a non-member posts a job, we collect the name, email address, phone number, and company they provide. Only the organizers can see this information; it is not published on the site.

What we don’t collect

We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. The only cookie we use is the one needed to keep you signed in.

Services we use

We use a small number of outside services to operate the hub. Each receives only the information needed to provide its part of the service.

We do not sell your information, and we never will.

Supabase — Database, sign-in, and file storage
Supabase stores your account, profile, uploaded files, and anything you post. Its services are hosted in the United States.
Vercel — Website hosting
Vercel runs the site and receives standard web-server information, such as your IP address, browser information, and the pages you request.
Google — Sign-in and the community inbox
If you sign in with Google, Google provides us with your email address and name. We also use Google's email service for the community events inbox.
GitHub — Sign-in
If you sign in with GitHub, GitHub provides us with your email address and name.
Anthropic — Reading event announcements
Emails sent to the events inbox are read by Anthropic's Claude to identify event details. Claude reads the submitted email only. It does not read your profile or other information in the hub.
Zapier — Reminder emails
We use Zapier to remind job posters before their listings expire. Zapier receives the poster's name and the email address provided with the listing.

How long we keep information

Job postings
Job postings are removed 30 days after approval unless the poster renews them.
On-demand events
On-demand events are removed from the calendar 90 days after approval.
Dated events
Dated events remain on the calendar and become past events after their scheduled dates.
Your profile and account
We keep your profile and account until you delete them from your profile page, or ask us to.
Email sent to the community inbox
Messages remain in the community mailbox. The event importer only reads messages received within the previous 14 days.

Your choices

You can:

  • Change your information at any time from your profile.
  • Leave the public directory by setting your profile to hidden.
  • Delete your account yourself, from the bottom of your profile. Or email us to request a copy of your information or ask us to delete it for you.
  • Ask us to remove something you posted or something that mentions you.
